Abia Angels goalkeeper, Etim Sunday has described her invitation to the senior female national team as a dream come true.
Etim is one of the 10 home-based players invited by Randy Waldrum the team’s head coach for the tournament.
The goalie said “I am very happy to have been invited. I have had no chances with the age-grade teams but I’m glad my performance in the past season got me here.”
Speaking to the team’s media, Etim said she hopes to have a good outing by “performing well” all through the tournament.
The Super Falcons kick off their tournament with a face-off against Jamaica tomorrow at 10.30 pm (WAT) before playing Portugal four days after.
