Stoke City have nominated Nigeria midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo for player of the season award following his outstanding performance in his debut season at the club.
Etebo has been one of the best performers for the club this season after his move from Portuguese side CD Feirense last summer.
The former Warri Wolves star has bagged two goals in 32 championship appearances for the Potters this season.
In March, Etebo scored his first goal in Stoke City’s home win against Nothingham and secured another this month in their 1-0 win against Blackburn Rovers.
The 23-year old, who has also managed to grab two man of the match awards this season will compete with Captain Ryan Shawcross, goalkeeper Jack Butland, Thomas Edwards and Joe Allen for the top prize.
Etebo is expected to be part of the Stoke City side hoping to secure a home win against Millwall in a Championship clash on Saturday.
