Italian journalist Stefano De Grandis has said he doesn’t particularly like Victor Osimhen but acknowledges the Nigerian international’s great quality.
Even though he thinks Napoli overpaid to sign the 22-years old from Lille last summer, De Grandis believes Osimhen makes Gennaro Gattuso’s team better overall.
“I don’t particularly like Victor Osimhen. I believe that Napoli has spent a little too much for his purchase,” he told Sky Sports Italia.
“But I must acknowledge him: a great quality. He is showing that in the open field it is devastating, the opponents are unable to stop him.
“And the Neapolitans, with the Nigerian on the field, have an average Scudetto.”
After a slow start to life in Italy, Osimhen is beginning to find his feet at a crucial stage of the season.
He has scored 4 goals in his last six Serie A appearances to push Napoli to third in the league standings with four games remaining.
