The 2025 President Federation Cup competition has officially commenced at the state level, with preliminaries starting on Monday.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Competitions Department, all final state matches must be concluded by Saturday, February 22, or Sunday, February 23, 2025, unless special approval is granted by the NFF.
Failure by any State FA to adhere to these dates without prior approval will result in a fine of N1 million. Additionally, clubs that fail to honor matches at the state level after the draws have been announced will face a fine of N500,000, while clubs failing to honor matches during the national competition will be penalized with a N1 million fine.
The Director of Competitions, Ruth David, stated that the National Play-Off is scheduled for March 5, followed by the National Draw on March 12.
Subsequent rounds will take place as follows: Round of 64 on March 19, Round of 32 on April 2, and Round of 16 on April 16. The quarter-finals are set for May 3-4, with the semi-finals to follow on May 17-18.
