Football stakeholders in Kwara were on Wednesday night, November 27, thrown into total jubilation after Kwara United returned to the topflight.
This comes after the Harmony Boys completed the takeover of Delta Force as Kwara United will now make a return to the NPFL after playing just a game against Gombe United in the National League.
Governor Abdulrahman was the architect of Kwara United’s return to the topflight by approving the management’s proposal to buy the available NPFL slot.
Football lovers in Kwara have however thanked the management of Kwara United for the brilliant initiative which was stamped by the Sports loving Governor.
“We know it that Kumbi Titiloye is a good football administrator who is capable of changing the fortune of Kwara United.
“We also want to thank Governor Abdulrahman for his support always on Kwara United. He has really made us happy because we don’t deserve to be playing in the National League,” stakeholders who gathered at the stadium explained collectively.
It will be recalled that Governor Abdulrahman also recently gave a new bus to Kwara United before they faced Gombe United.
Meanwhile, Kwara United have a top hill to climb in their new journey in the topflight as they face Nasarawa United in their next game in Lafia before moving to Kano to face Pillars.
United will then return to tackle Heartland of Owerri in their first home game in the NPFL this term on December 11.
