Stakeholders in the sports community have continued to congratulate Prince Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye, on his new appointment as Special Adviser on Grassroots Sports to the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh.

Adeboye, who until recently, was the Senior Special Assistant on Sports to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is a renowned awards-winning sports administrator.
In the words of the National Coordinator of Friends of Nigeria Sports, Chief Dipreiye Thompson, the appointment of Adeboye who is also the President of Lagos-based NNL side Smart City FC, is the right step in the right direction by the sports minister.
“On behalf of Friends of Nigeria Sports and other well-meaning Nigerians, I want to congratulate this astute sports administrator on his new appointment.
He is vastly experienced and we believe he would bring his wealth of experience to bear positively on this new assignment,” Thompson said.
“Grassroots sports development is the bedrock of any meaningful sports growth. He has a track record of achievements and Nigeria sports would be better with his contributions,” he added.
