The president of Nigeria Squash Federation (NSF), Bode Oyerinde has lamented over what he called undue treatment of the sport in the country, as he says they have not received the respect they deserve.
In an interview with sports247.ng, Oyerinde bemoaned the current state of the sport in Nigeria and stressed that the treatment squash has received in recent years across the country is unpalatable.
Oyerinde, though, went on to declare that he and other officials of the federation are doing the best they can to make squad grow in the country and even stand a chance of making an impact internationally.
“At present,” Oyerinde declared, “I am not in any way happy with the poor treatment and attention squash is getting in this country.
“We are not being treated fairly and, in recent years, what we have got in the country is unpalatable.
“Nonetheless, we in the squash federation are still doing the best we can to move the sport forward.
“I can assure you that we will continue giving our best efforts to make squash grown and become recognizable throughout the country.”
