Springsoca United in partnership with Optimum Football Consultancy based in UK have concluded all arrangement to organize a weekend soccer school programme scheduled to hold on Saturday, 6, February, 2021 at Obanikoro Baptist Academy, Ikorodu Road, Lagos.
No fewer than 25 kids within the age of 5 to 14 years old are expected to take part in the weekend soccer school programme.
Although the kids who would storm the venue are selected and registered for the programme,It is all year weekend soccer school not a day weekend soccer school programme.
Many of the kids were selected from the communities such as Shomolu, Bariga, Obanikoro, Fadeyi and its environs.
Programme Director Oladapo Emmanuel in a chat with Journalists in Lagos said the one day programme was designed to teach and groom young boys and girls on how they can play good football.
He explained that solid arrangement have been made to give the kids necessary kits and other souvenirs they would use for the programme and urged the parents and guardians to encourage their kids to play the round leather game.
“We are set for Saturday weekend soccer programme at Obanikoro and I am sure that our kids are ready for this programme. Actually we selected 25 kids out of many that showed interest. This programme is a continuous programme and when we want to do another one, we would select another set of kids.
“We are doing this because we don’t want the venue to be jampacked so that our certified and refined coaches that specialize on youth football would be able to train, nurture, groom and teach our kids the theory and practical aspect of the game throughout the duration,” he said.
