As the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention approaches, Dayo Israel, a candidate for National Youth Leader, has announced his intentions for youth participation and empowerment.
Israel has stated that he will run for the APC National Youth Leadership position in an attempt to lead a new generation of fearless, and accountable adolescents who will put their community first while avoiding all types of societal decadence.
The social entrepreneur also pledged to empower and engage Nigerian youths through sports if his campaign is successful. Speaking at his electoral endorsement, Israel said:
“Sport is a great way to bring people together and is one of the most effective ways to engage and empower young people. This is just one of many things I’ll be looking into as it has the tendency to empower young people.
“Sports have had a significant impact on our youth and societies at large. We have young people like Victor Osimhen who are making the country proud. And there are a plethora of other football players and athletes in different sports out there.”
Israel paid a visit to Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare, as part of his consultations for the position of APC’s National Youth Leader.
