LA-SUBEB begins the first day on a strong note, Chairman Alawiye-King promises a result-driven Organisation as he seeks members support to achieve the Education pillar aspirations of the BOS THEMES Agenda.
The newly appointed Executive Board of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) began its activities with a pre-inaugural strategy meeting which featured the participation of all board members. It was agreed that the term ‘Leave no child behind’ will become the focal focus of this board administration, ensuring that every school-age child in Lagos gets access to quality basic education.
In attendance were the Chairman Hon Wahab Alawiye-King and members including Hon Saheed Ibikunle, Hon Shittu Hakeem, Mrs Sijuade Idowu-Tiamiyu, Mrs Seriki Ayeni, HON. DAYO ISRAEL and HON. BAYO ADEFUYE.
Swiftly after the intensive meeting, the Board swung into action by receiving a delegation from The Bridge International Academies, during which both parties discussed collaboration on the Eko EQUIP program to optimize the performance of Lagos schools.
The board went on from there to pay a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Education Lagos State Hon Sade Adefisayo and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry. The commissioner commended the Board and expressed her delight that with the composition of such notable individuals with vast experience in the education sector, LASUBEB will no doubt achieve the visions of the Babajide Sanwoolu Administration for the educational sector.
