The club, which was founded in 2022 and currently competes in the Nigeria Premier Football League, has parted ways with head coach Paul Offor.

Offor, who joined Sporting Lagos at the start of the 2023 season, has been relieved of his duties along with his technical crew.
In a strategic move, the club has appointed former Kwara United boss, Abdullahi Biffo, to lead the team through the remainder of the season.
With only eight games left, Biffo’s experience and leadership are expected to steer Sporting Lagos towards a strong finish.
Abdullahi Biffo, a seasoned football manager, has made waves in the Nigerian football scene.
He managed Kwara United FC from the 2019/20 season until August 30, 2022. During his tenure, he oversaw 96 matches, maintaining an average of 1.53 points per match.
Before joining Kwara United, Biffo led Katsina United from the 2009/10 season until the 2018/19 season, overseeing 82 matches with an average of 1.39 points per match.
Biffo employs a 4-3-3 formation, emphasizing defensive stability. His experience and tactical approach make him a valuable addition to Sporting Lagos FC.
Sporting Lagos FC is currently ranked 12th out of 20 teams in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table.
