An international intermediary, Victor Uzoho was hosted by Sporting FC Warri management for a three day scouting program in Warri to scout for players for Finland opportunities.
The UEFA certified coach commended the management of sporting FC Warri effort to organise the scouting program for over one hundred and seventy players who participated.
The FIFA intermediary expressed satisfaction over the crops of players he met in the just concluded screening. Adding that he never regretted visiting Warri under the care of Sporting FC Warri to scout for players to the Finnish league.
“Now I can confirm that Warri is a place to discover raw talented players I use to visit Lagos State but I now have cool option”.
Uzoho said Warri is loaded with raw talented players that needed proper nurture to fine tune their technical ability.
“I used to have wrong impression about the people and the town. I’m pleased to visit Warri for the first time and I understand that it is not all about Lagos and Abuja but I now see that the multitude of talent are in Warri . Delta state has really made my job easier.”
The president of Sporting FC Warri Prince Godstime Emiko said that he is happy that Sporting FC Warri is changing the negative narratives about the town and giving players the opportunity to showcase what they can do. He refused to give the details about the numbers of players selected. According to him, that information is not for the public consumption. And he believes in working silently.
