Consequent upon the start to the 2023/2024 season of the Nigeria National League (NNL), the Leadership of the Southern Conference Clubs have urged members to shun preference for the three points at stake at all costs, but rather embrace and hold dearly to the tenets of good and exemplary conducts during the course of the season.

The Conference appealed to members and clubs to ensure that games are played under a cordial and friendly atmosphere devoid of violence and acrimony in whatever form particularly to maintain the high rating that the Conference has enjoyed season after season.
While calling for member Clubs to cooperate and assist the League Board and the Secretariat to run a smooth and improved season, the Conference equally beckoned on the Management of the League to be fair, just, and equitable to all the participating Clubs by ensuring application of rules, regulations, and sanctions across the board.
