Defending champions of the NEROS Pharmaceuticals/Anambra State Football Association (ANSFA) President Cup, Solution FC, have secured their place in the 2025 final with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Peace FC at Awka City Stadium.
Ekeocha Chibuzo was the standout performer of the match, netting a hat-trick to propel Solution FC to victory. The NNL side took the lead in the 22nd minute through Chibuzo, but Peace FC quickly responded, with Patrick Onyebuchi equalizing before halftime.
Just three minutes into the second half, Chibuzo restored Solution FC’s advantage with his second goal of the game. Emeka Oyieke extended the lead to 3-1 with five minutes remaining, and Chibuzo sealed the win in the 90th minute, completing his hat-trick in style.
Solution FC will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Edel FC and Ozalla FC in the final, set to take place at NEROS Stadium, Nanka, on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Edel FC, an NNL club, will battle Ozalla FA in the second semi-final on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
The ultimate champions of the NEROS/ANSFA Cup will receive a cash prize of N2 million, while the runners-up will take home N1 million. The third-place team will earn a consolation prize of N500,000.
