Chukwuma Ezeamama, Chairman of Solution FC, has urged the media and private sector in Anambra to rally behind the state-owned football club as it pushes for promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL) to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Ezeamama made this appeal during a meeting with the leadership of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra State chapter, in Awka on Tuesday.

He emphasized that the establishment of Solution FC fulfilled the long-held dream of Anambra people to own a football club, made possible by Governor Chukwuma Soludo after more than 30 years of anticipation. He called for collective support to ensure the club thrives.
“The primary goal of a state-owned football club is not financial profit but to enhance the state’s image. I sincerely appreciate Governor Soludo for making Solution FC a reality,” Ezeamama stated.
“Anambra deserves a spot in the NPFL. Although the journey may seem challenging, promotion is achievable with the right support. This is why we are seeking all the assistance we can get,” he added.
Ezeamama also encouraged businesses and individuals to invest in Solution FC as a valuable platform for brand promotion, while acknowledging that the club faces challenges, even from within the state.
He urged football enthusiasts across Anambra to support the team by attending matches at the Awka Township Stadium and away fixtures.
In response, Chimezie Anaso, Chairman of SWAN Anambra Chapter, praised the club’s management for keeping Solution FC competitive in its two years of existence.
Anaso highlighted that the formation of a state football club was one of Governor Soludo’s early promises to the media, commending him for delivering on it within his first year in office.
He assured Solution FC of the sports media’s commitment to increasing awareness about the club’s activities and engaging the public.
“As the media, we will tell your stories, entertain football enthusiasts, offer constructive criticism, and hold you accountable to ensure Anambra people get the best value from this significant investment,” Anaso said.
