Smart city chairman, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, has splashed some cool thousands of naira on his player for their outstanding victory against Elebiyo boys, at the Agege Stadium.
City who came from two goals down, to win 4 -3, put up a palatable performance to the admiration of soccer fans present at the Agege Stadium on Friday afternoon.
City chairman who was very pleased with the performance of his boys, for making the club proud and not letting their heads drop when they were two goals down, said, it shows how dedicated and hard-working the boys are and he decided to reward the young lads with some cash gifts.
“I am really pleased and happy with the performance and result of the game, the boys showed some real dedication and commitment in the game, they refused to lie down and get rolled over, even when they were two goals down.
“Such performance is worthy to be rewarded, they didn’t just equalize the two goals, they went ahead to win the game 4-3, I was really glad with the way they turned the game around, it shows the boys have a winning mentality, and that is good for the team” he said.
“We will continue to do our best to make the players happy, because, they deserve the best, we will continue to equip them with the best training and training facilities to make them better people in not only football but also in the society” he concluded.
Smarty were two goals down in the game against Elebiyo boys in the first half, but a brace each from Ayo Ajayi and Toheeb Ali turned the game around for the city, who ran away with a well deserved 4-3 victory.
