
Nigerian international, Simy Nwankwo netted twice in Crotone’s narrow 3-2 Serie A defeat away to Lazio on Friday afternoon, Sports247 reports.
The goals were his 11th and 12th league goals of the season for relegation-threatened Crotone.
The 28-year-old scored his first of the game in the 28th minute to cancel out Milinkovic-Savic’s early opener for Lazio.
The host went ahead 10 minutes later after Luis Alberto scored from a Ciro Immobile assist.
Shortly after the restart, Simy once again equalized for Crotone this time from the penalty spot.
The game looked to be heading for a draw until substitute Felipe Caicedo snatched a late winner for Lazio with seven minutes from time.
Simy now has 12 goals in Serie A this campaign in what is his most productive campaign in Italy’s top flight. His Crotone side are bottom placed in the league table, 7 points adrift of safety with 11 games remaining.
