Former Flying Eagles and Super Eagles Coach Samson Siasia has charged the current Eagles players and handlers to be wary of debutants in their AFCON Group B.
Siasia spoke on a Lagos radio show and it was monitored by Sports247, the former Coach shares his views on the possibility of one of the debutants in the Group B of the tournament to shock the three time African champions.
Nigeria’s Group B opponents are Burundi, Guinea and Madagascar with their matches to hold June 22, 26 and 30.
“I think we have the weakest group at the AFCON to me , and I don’t think we will have a problem getting out of that group.
“We should be talking about getting to the next round.
“But, these guys we call weaker countries will try to make impressions at the AFCON if we allow them, so, preparations have to be good.
“The team (Super Eagles), they have to pick the right players without sentiments, that’s the only way we can get to the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Nations Cup,” Siasia said.
