Former Super Eagles striker and coach, Samson Yebowei Siasia has urged Nigerian football fans to avoid castigating national team gaffer, Gernot Rohr over his choice of players for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as he believes the tactician knows what he is doing.
Casting a look ahead of expectations for Saturday’s AFCON 2019 qualifier against Libya in Uyo, Sia1 told sports247.ng that all Rohr needs now is support, not criticism.
With that on top of his mind, Siasia stressed that the Franco-German gaffer should not be questioned over the players he invited for the match.
Siasia declared: “I am sure that the coach knows what he wants and how he wants to achieve it. He knows the right players to do the job for him, which is why he has invited the ones he did.
“I am sure he will now make the right selections for the match, and any one that is picked will deliver for him against Libya.
“I know the coach and the players want to get the best result for Nigeria. It is my wish that they will be able to do well and make the country proud.”
