A 6-0 slump to Raptors spoilt the fun of Ikan Sports on Sunday, as they failed to shine in their third march of this year’s Showtime Flag Football League (SFFL), but the exuberant damsel said she and her colleagues remain focused on winning the title.
Tilewa Odedina added in a chat with Sports247, “It was a good game, though it ended not the way we planned it. However, we’ll be back next week. We’ll definitely be back and better. We’re still thinking of going all the way to the top. With perseverance and our flare, we’re going to go all the way to the top.”
Odedina then spoke about her personal experience and passion for flag football, which she recalled began when a colleague on hers in a netball team introduced her to the innovative coed sporting endeavour.
“I got into this game through a netball team member. I also play netball, and I heard about flag football through a team member. Now I love it, I absolutely love it.
“The unity, competitiveness, spirit of the game … I love everything about it. I want other people to come and watch, then see if it’s something they’ll like. They should then try to get into it. It’s really cool. Everyone will surely love it,” Odedina enthused.
