The game was a masterclass in defensive discipline, with the Raptors becoming the first team to keep Ikan Sports scoreless this season.
The match which was decided by single touchdown, improved the Raptors to a 2-1 record and injecting fresh excitement into the race for the coveted Showtime Bowl XII.
After the game, Raptors’ standout player Chima Oyadinayan emphasized the team’s commitment to stay focus and remain committed to preparations as the secret to their success over Ikan Sports.
“It’s a tough game but we won. It’s a cool feeling. We know our opponent, we know what to expect from them” Chima told Sports247 after the game.
On keeping the momentum, Chima believes it’s one game at a time as they continue to prepare hard for their games.
” It’s one game at a time. We’re going to watch as much footage of our opponent as possible, prepare, adjust our strategies, and most importantly, understand our assignments before stepping onto the field.”
Chima added, “I believe we’ll get a victory in our next game. I don’t really have any serious doubts about that. But it’s always about preparation, and we know how much work we’ve put in to deliver. So yeah, we’re ready.”
Ikan Sports, who had dominated the first two weeks, were left reeling from their first loss of the season.
The defeat serves as a wake-up call, and all eyes will be on how they respond in Week 4.
With momentum now on their side, the Raptors have firmly positioned themselves as dark horses in the playoff picture.
