In the wake of their shock victory over Warriors on matchday one of the 2025 Showtime Flag Football League, LA Knights’ player, Damilola Olalegan has revealed secrets of the strategy that led her side to maximum points.
Speaking with Sports247 minutes after the feat was achieved at Showtime Arena in Lekki area of Lagos on Sunday, Olalegan disclosed that the win was made possible through adequate preparations and determination of everyone in LA Knights’ camp.
Olalegan added, “It was a very wonderful and lovely game. The energy was up. We played our best, and we got the result we wanted. We were very well prepared to win the game, and that’s what we did differently. We won this game because we prepared very well for it.”
Olalegan then expressed confidence in her side’s ability to keep up the tempo in all their remaining matches of the season, saying they will continue with their winning strategy for each subsequent fixture.
“We did all we needed to do … board practice and on the field as well. So, we are going to give the same energy throughout the season.
Our strategy is to practise hard, play hard on game day and we always expect the best from each game,” Olalegan retorted gleefully.
