The President of Nigeria Shooting Sports Federation (NSSF), Lonsdale Adeoye, on Wednesday said there were now plans for officials of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) to visit Nigeria in May.
Adeoye told the NNA in Abuja that the international body, during the visit, would also support the NSSF with the provision of equipment for its athletes.
“We have reached an arrangement since last year that the ISSF will visit Nigeria. Right now we are looking at the month of May.
“Their officials have also promised to assist us with equipment and the last time I spoke with them they said the weapons were still under production.
“I have always reminded the ISSF on the urgency of the provision of the equipment and, hopefully, they will be coming to Nigeria with the equipment,” Adeoye said.
