Nigeria Shooting Federation (NSF) president, Brigadier General Lonsdale Adeoye (rtd) has made a passionate plea for support from the ministry of sports and Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).
Adeoye said in an interview with sports247.ng that it would be helpful for his federation if the ministry and NOC could always come to their aid financially in order to enable them participate in major competitions.
The shooting federation boss further stated that the officials are ready to maximise any amount that comes there way, as they are eager to carry out their activities with any minimal sum they can acquire.
Adeoye added: “No matter how small the money may be, it will go a long way in assisting the federation to take athletes to competitions.
“However, we are not relying on the sports ministry and NOC, or state and federal governments alone.
“I am also putting in my own personal efforts to help us attract support from the private sector to sponsor our activities.”
