President of the Shooting Federation of Nigeria, Brigadier General (rtd) Lonsdale Adeoye says the 42-year history of the sport in the country has seen it become a multi medal one.
According to him, Shooting does not only accommodate the armed forces and paramilitary but also civilians who are very good at the game.
“Shooting is a very unique game not just in Nigeria but the world in general,” Lonsdale Adeoye remarked to Sports247.ng.
“In it 42-year history in Nigeria, Shooting has become a multi medal event which gives athletes possibilities to win during competitions.”
“Moreso the sport is one that is easily accessible not just by the armed forces and paramilitary but civilians who find joy engaging themselves in it.”
He called on support from the Private sector in order to grow the sports even further.
“The game of Shooting has grown in leaps and bounds in Nigeria. There is need for more to be done for greater accomplishments.”
“Shooting needs the support of Private sector for it to get to the Zenith and become the cynosure of all eyes,” he concluded.
