Sporting Lagos has officially appointed Shola Adegun as the head coach of its highly-anticipated youth team.

Adegun’s mandate is to spearhead the development efforts of the recently promoted Nigeria Professional Football League outfit.
Adegun brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the coach of the Jos-based Mees Palace Football Academy. His appointment marks a significant changing of the guard, as he steps into the shoes of Sanjo Olutayo as the leader of the U-15 team.
The young tactician’s resume is impressive, having also honed his coaching skills as part of the coaching staff at the renowned Barça Academy in Lagos. Furthermore, he has contributed his expertise as an assistant technical director at the AS Roma Academy in Abuja, showcasing his commitment to nurturing young talents and elevating their footballing abilities.
