This event, set to unfold from October 2 to 9, 2023, at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, is expected to draw 28 teams from across Nigeria, including prominent clubs like Bendel Insurance, Bayelsa United, Box 2 Box, Shooting Stars, and NNL side Beyond Limit FC, the same club credited with discovering Victor Osimhen.

The SPOCS Scouting Championship is organized by SPOCS Nigeria, an extension of the esteemed sports agency SPOC Global. With a track record of managing top talents worldwide, SPOCS Nigeria aims to unearth and nurture fresh football talent, channeling it toward the global football market.

Under the leadership of Sacha Empacher and with Gbenga Agbejoye as a mutual representative, SPOCS Nigeria is poised to make a significant impact in the world of scouting and talent development.

SGFC Athletics enters this prestigious tournament on the back of a recent victory, having clinched the 2023 Ciroma of Ilorin Cup in August. Their previous success includes winning the inaugural 2022 Evolution Cup, further highlighting their potential as a rising force in Nigerian football.

In the 2023 NLO abridged league season, SGFC Athletics demonstrated their prowess by finishing atop the Kwara State center. Although they faced an early exit in the first playoffs round against Shooting Stars Team B, their consistent performance has earned them recognition.
