Seun Odunsi, a player of Remo Stars’ senior team was in attendance to motivate the younger ones competing in the NLO 2 league as Remo Comet FC overpowered Synergy Ultimate Sports FC running out eventual winners in a 3-2 scoreline at the Agege Soccer Temple.
“It’s a great experience playing in the NLO 1, NLO 2 respectively. We tried our best, gave our all and we got the victory,” he said in an interview session with sports247 after the game.
Promoted to NNL and senior team of Remo Stars, he revealed his enthusiasm that his hard work really paid off, “been looking forward to a time like this and am glad I got it.”
On dealing with criticisms of poor performances, “I am not always happy whenever my coach tells me that I didn’t do well in a match, this isn’t my best and that I had no impact, it makes me angry at myself. I in turn go home and work on my lapses and come back to redeem myself.”
“Whenever the younger boys in the team don’t play well, I ask them to work on their weaknesses and go for personal training or anytime they need me, they should call me and we would go together and work on such areas.”
