Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman is starting to find his foot after a sluggish start to the season with Atalanta guiding the Serie A outfit to a hard-fought victory against Cagliari at Bergamo yesterday.
Atalanta got off to a strong start with De Ketelaere testing Radunovic on 12 minutes at the end of a splendid solo effort although Cagliari came up with an instant reply through Shomurodov whose diving header was wide.
Shortly after, Lookman’s mazy run resulted in a 26th-minute right-foot shot that rattled the crossbar and Zappacosta hit the outside of the near post on the outcome.
At the half-hour mark, Radunovic had to get down to save Lookman’s effort as Atalanta put themselves in siege mode, pouring everything forward and it was Lookman himself who broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute.
