Senegal beach soccer team beat Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles 6 – 1 to win the 2018 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt retaining the trophy they won in Lagos in 2016 and will represent Africa at the 2019 Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay as African champions.
The Super Sand Eagles who lost her opening match of the tournament in Group B to Senegal were unable to get their revenge over the Senegalese as they played second fiddle to the African champions in each of the quarters of the game.
The Senegalese showed their flair and superiority converting all six shots on target while the Nigerian team was limited to just two shots on target scoring just one.
In the third place match, the Pharoahs of Egypt held their nerves to defeat Morocco 3 – 2 and book the final spot for the 2019 Beach Soccer World Cup in Paraguay.
