Nigeria has picked up her second gold medal at the ongoing African Senior Athletics Championships in Mauritius after finishing first in the 4X100m women’s event.
The quarter of Praise Ofoku, Tobi Amusan, Tima Godbless and Praise Idamadudu produced a Season’s Best (SB) performance after finishing first in 44.45s.
This performance produces Nigeria’s second gold medal at the competition after Tobi Amusan had earlier won Nigeria’s first gold medal in the women’s 100mH clocking 12.57s (2.5) to become the third Nigerian to successfully defend the 100mH title, after Maria Usifo and Glory Alozie.
