The United Arab Emirate’s commercial archipelago, the Dubai City has shown tremendous enthusiasm to the Ring Officials Training Seminar organized by the Ringside Gym Global of Dubai and Coordinated by the World Africa Boxing Association (WABA) which kickstarted yesterday November 16th, 2020.
Yesterday’s first-day seminar dwelled on both Kickboxing and Muaythai session one in the morning (10 a.m to 1.30 p.m and session two in the afternoon 8 p.m to 11 p.m), today’s training focused on both MMA and Cutman.
Participants derived from several nationalities some living and working in Dubai while others flew to Dubai for the resourceful seminar.
Trainers Lorenzo Borgomeo (Italy) who is a tasted and skillful trainer took participants through various levels of MMA, one of the world’s fastest-growing combat sports in recent years.
While the City of Dubai accommodates hundreds of sports gyms many of which provide facilities for the MMA but, the sport requires strong infrastructure to guide its sustainable growth.
Borgomeo’s many years as the fighters and trainers lent credence for progression pathways to participating ring officials who want to develop their skills in the MMA.
At the same time, the Cutman training afforded participants to acquire knowledge on the importance of Cutman which is crosscutting skills abound in the contact sports.
Lorenzo Borgomeo and Didier Le Borgne’s provision of both skills and knowledge in MMA, Kickboxing, and Muaythai will assist Cutmen to handle boxers and fighters more professionally and protect their lives.
Tomorrow Nov. 18th, the boxing Ring Officials Training Seminar will be conducted by the Ghanaian Roger Barnor, who is the Vice-Chairperson of the Association of Professional Boxing Commission (APBC)’s Ring Officials Committee respectively.
The Dubai’s Ring Officials Training Seminar is certified by both USA based Association of Professional Boxing Commission (APBC) and Boxing Mixed Martial Arts Fighters Union (BMMAFU).
