Igamu Fc player, Sam Darlington has expressed his happiness towards scoring the equalizing goal for his team as they held Gbagada Fc to a 3-3 draw in the ongoing Creative Championship League.
Kazim Abioye led boys held Gbagada Fc to a 3-3 draw in Matchday 4 of the Creative Championship league, despite being 3-1 down.
In an Interview with Sports247 after the match, the goalscorer of the equalizing goal for Igamu Fc, Sam Darlington spoke about his delight in scoring the equalizer for his team to earn them a point, despite being 3-1 behind.
“Scoring that equalizing goal was the greatest joy of my life so far. Coming from 3-1 to 3-3, was a great thing. I also thank the coach for his good work and the supporters (Our Fans) and the team manager, that’s the team spirit. They scored us and relaxed, thought that we have relaxed too, that’s why we picked up more pressure. The Coach told us never to give up, that was why we were able to draw the game.
The amazing young talent also went further to commend the competitive nature of the Nations League as well as expressing his happiness in participating in the competition.
“The League is so great. To compete with others with different ideas, trying to make it to that top, was a great thing. I am the happiest person to be participating in this league”, he said.
In Other results of the match Day 4 of the Creative Championship League, Rema U19 defeated Imperial Fc 1-0, Valiant Fc defeated Emmydinho Fc 3-1 and Dino Sc defeated Ijebu United 1-0.
