The President of the Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club (SNWFSC), Jadesola Adelabu has expressed joy on Nigeria sealing a knockout stage after a valuable group encounter at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Super Falcons qualified for the round of 16 of the World Cup after accruing five points from three games in group B.
Delighted with the achievement of the Falcons, SNWFSC founder and President, Jadesola Adelabu said the qualification to the round of 16 of the World Cup is a commendable one considering the hard work and determination the players put into the feat.
She lauded the Falcons for playing their hearts out and for being part of a record-making group of players that have made Nigeria proud.
The women supporters club boss, however, backed the Nigeria players to pursue their dreams to the top.
“This victory by the Super Falcons is a commendable one considering the hard work and determination that was put in to ensure they achieved the feat,” she said.
“The players really played their hearts out and came out relieved as they also made a record of becoming the first African women’s national team to advance to the knockout stage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup without losing any match and got two clean sheets in the process.
“The road to the top is not lost, we will keep supporting the Falcons on and off the pitch to reach greatness because they are the best.”
