The Organizers of the Sandie Beach Rugby will be hosting this year’s version behind closed doors.
The Beach version of the game of Rugby seems to be catching the attention of the Nigerian populace as the awareness of the game in existence is still growing.
The event for this year will be on the 19th and 20th of December in Lagos.
Mr. Ayo Johnson, CEO of Turbocrest Sport who has dedicated his time and love for the game said the tournament will be done behind closed doors and players will be adequately tested.
“He also mentioned that hand sanitizers and face masks must be worn by all those who are participating in the event. Eight Male teams and Four Female teams will be participating at this year Sandie Beach event”.
He said, the tournament since inception has been an uphill task, but we are making progress towards making it an international event and also becoming a well-known fascinating event across the world.
“Due to the pandemic our kids will not be able to be part of the game at this edition, we hope to bring back the kids event next year, the kids have always been inspiring to the tournament”.
