Samuel Kalu is likely to miss Bordeaux’s trip to face PSG on Saturday but should be fit for the visit of Brest early next month.
The Nigerian winger returned from a five-week absence to set up the match-winner for Bordeaux against Rennes in Ligue 1 last Friday but suffered a relapse in the game and had to be substituted in the 59th minute. Kalu came off holding the hamstring of his right leg.
According to the French daily newspaper Sud Ouest, examinations carried out this week are reassuring. The Nigerian international is due to return to training next week, missing the game with PSG in the process. Unless a bad surprise, Kalu should be back for the visit of Brest on 6th December.
Injuries have limited Samuel Kalu to seven league games this season out of a possible eleven. He has 2 goals and an assist to his name so far.
