Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze is in contention for the La Liga Player of the Week Award for match day 30 following his stellar performance in the Villarreal 4-4 scored draw with Barcelona on Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old singlehandedly dragged The Yellows back into the game by scoring and assisting to bring the scoreline to 2-2 at half time at Estadio de la Ceramica.
Chukwueze has been nominated for the award alongside Daniel Parejo who bagged an assist in Valencia’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid and Pablo Sarabia who also scored one and assisted another in Sevilla’s win over Alaves, whilst Real Sociedad’s Mikel Oyarzabal completes the pairing.
The Nigeria Young Male Player of The Year has been a revelation this season for the Yellow Submarines since getting promoted to the first team and has gone on to score four La Liga goals since his debut last year.
Enyimba Boss Usman Abdullah targets maximum point against Bendel Insurance
Enyimba’s Coach Usman Abdullah is aiming to secure the maximum points as they battle Insurance in Match day 14 fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) slated for the Aba township Stadium.
