Super Eagles midfielder Samuel Chukwueze extended an act of kindness to Superstars Football Academy based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, after gifting them a Coastal Bus worth ₦30 million as part of efforts to support grassroots football in Nigeria.
Handing the Bus to the club on Friday in a presentation ceremony and novelty match organized for the event on Friday, the Villarreal player said that his success story is not complete without acknowledging the individual that discovered him and built him into the player he is now, the current President of Superstars Football Academy, Hon. Victor Ago
He also disclosed that the reason behind the donation of the bus to the football academy is to help in discovering more talents.
“I’m so glad and humbled to donate this bus to Superstars Academy and to my boss and mentor Hon. Apugo. He really played a key role in where I am today and there’s no better way to show appreciation to him and to God than to support him in helping other young talents reach their potential like he helped me do,” he said.
Victor Apugo was General Manager of Diamond Football Academy in Umuahia, where Chukwueze began his career and he played a huge part in the developmental stage of the 2021 Europa League winner.
