Former Nigeria U-20 captain, Samson Tijani has joined RZ Pellets WAC on loan until the end of the season from FC Red Bull Salzburg.
The 21-year-old Nigerian joined FC Red Bull Salzburg three years ago from SC Collins Edwin and was loaned out to TSV Hartberg in his first season.
The central midfielder played 18 games for the East Styrians and in the 2021/22 season, the right-footed player played for FC Liefering and made 16 appearances there with five brief appearances in the Champions League, ÖFB Cup and Liga for FC Red Bull Salzburg.
The young national player missed the past season completely due to a broken tibia and fibula.
“Samson has everything that is needed for a position in defensive midfield with his ability to run, tackle tackles and be aggressive. So I am very happy that we were able to win him over and I look forward to working with him,” Manfred Schmidt said of their new arrival.
“I am happy to have the opportunity to gain match practice at Wolfsberger AC next season and I would like to have a successful year with the team,” Samson Tijani stated.
