Samjason Football Club of Igando would begin their campaign on Thursday as they confront Liberty Stars in one of the rooky matches of the 2021/2022 Winners Golden Bet Lagos State FA Cup scheduled for Thursday.
The much-awaited Lagos FA Cup being sponsored by Winners Golden Bet kicks off on Thursday across various centres. Nine matches would be played on Day 1 of the competition as Samjason face a herculean task against Liberty Stars by 3 pm at the Odion Ighalo football pitch, Epe.
Recovery House who are currently doing well in Ikeja Super League would clash with Fuji Top by 9 am at the Alade Sports Stadium, Ipaja Command.
In other matches, Confidence face SPG by 11 am at the legacy pitch of National Stadium, while Chekas tango with TSM by 3 pm at the Alade sports centre as Double J take on Unizee FC at the Odion Ighalo football pitch.
Also, Neo El Mirado face Jimmy by 3 pm at the Zumuratu College, Ikorodu, while Smart City Fedeers clash with Ist Class FC by 1 pm at the legacy pitch of National Stadium. Nakamura Strikers face Melody FC at the Odion Ighalo football pitch while LOF United would keep a date with FEDAN by 12 pm at the Isheri Rehabilitation centre, Ojodu Berger.
Commenting on their first game, the team manager of Samjason, Uchenna Samuel Eke said they are ready for their first match and cautioned his players and coaching crew over complacency. He admitted that FA Cup is a knockout format and he wants his club to go far in the tournament.
