In a bid to foster collaborative relationships and advance grassroots football development, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima, Chairman of the Nasarawa State Football Association, has been honored during a symbolic ceremony in Abidjan.
The Edo State FA Chairman, Mr. Fred Newton, presented Galadima with a replica of the Edo State FA, signifying mutual respect and a commitment to collaboration.
Fred Newton, an adept football administrator and former board member of the Edo State FA, expressed congratulations and solidarity with Galadima on his recent appointment.
The exchange of ideas and the presentation of a cap and top marked the beginning of what both chairmen hope will be a fruitful collaboration.
Speaking on the occasion, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima highlighted the significance of building partnerships to promote football across states.
He underlined the desire to tap into the wealth of experience from football associations, starting with Edo, renowned as the hub of football in the South-South region of Nigeria.
“It was more like a collaborative move as we spoke and shared ideas on how much we can bring to the table in promoting football at all levels in our various states,” Galadima stated.
“Edo is known as the hub of football in the South-South region of the country, and we want to make sure we tap from their wealth of experience to grow our football.
Not just them, but we would love to collaborate with other state football associations to grow our football,” he concluded.
The ceremony reflects a positive stride toward enhancing cooperation between football associations, with Galadima spearheading efforts for the continual development of the sport at the grassroots level.
