Rwanda Stunned by Udeh’s Record-Breaking Performance in Kwibuka Women’s T20i

Udeh’s record-breaking spell of six wickets for just seven runs in four overs left the Rwandan team reeling and unable to reach the target set by Nigeria.

The match, which took place on Tuesday, saw Nigeria secure a 32-run victory over the hosts, marking their third win of the tournament. This win brings Nigeria level with test nation Zimbabwe on six points, setting the stage for an intense showdown in their upcoming match.

Rwanda, who were put into field first after Nigeria won the toss, found themselves chasing a challenging target of 104 runs.

Despite their best efforts, the Rwandan batters were unable to withstand the relentless attack from the Nigerian bowlers, particularly Udeh, whose devastating spell significantly shifted the momentum of the match.

Udeh’s performance not only earned her the Player of The Match award but also etched her name in cricket history with the third all-time best bowling figures for an innings. This defeat for Rwanda marks their 12th loss in 24 meetings with Nigeria, intensifying their long-standing rivalry.

As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on the upcoming matches, particularly the clash between Nigeria and Zimbabwe, as the race for the top two positions continues.
