RUTH OKAFOR WINS SOCCER QUEENS NWPL REFEREE OF WEEK FOUR

The organisers of the Soccer Queens NWPL Referee of the week awards has officially announced Ruth Okafor of the Lagos State Referee Council as the SQ NWPL Referee of week four.

In a keenly contested affair, the graduate of the Lagos State University (LASU) won the prestigious award ahead of Tina Omohan of the Edo State Referees Council and Joy Ogunboye of the Ondo State Referees Council.

Ruth Okafor officiated the game between Osun Babes and Rivers Angels in Osogbo and was very fair with her decisions all through the game.

The weekly award which is proudly sponsored by NFF 1st Vice President Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi is aimed at honoring women referees who have a strong work ethic, have knowledge of the rules of the game and are positive role models and will see the winner going home with N25,000 cash prize.

A team of women football experts and panelist voted based on reports gathered by assessors all around various match centres.
