Rotary Club Of Ikeja Alausa President Hails Federal Executive Council Over National Youth Day Approval As It Solidifies Club’s Youth Development Push

Rotarian Prince Adeyemi Aseperi Shonibare – President of the newly chartered Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa by Rotary International has heaped encomiums on the Federal Executive Council and Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare on the National Youth Day approval set for November 1 as it also solidifies the club’s upward slope towards youth development with a Basic Education and Literacy program scheduled for September 2020.

The Federal Executive Council recently approved the commemoration of November 1 of every year as National Youth Day followed after the approval of the report of the Cabinet Committee on the institutionalization of a National Youth Day on November 1 of every year through a memorandum by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Aseperi hailed this designation as a thorough commitment from President Muhammadu Buhari and the sports ministry as one which portrays the administrative efforts of their reign for the development and growth of Nigerian Youths

The Cabinet Committee which was set up to consider a memorandum by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, for the institutionalization of November 1 as the National Youth Day as now stood and November 1 will now be marked as a day to raise awareness on issues concerning youth in Nigeria and for organizing public information activities on youth-related matters.

It will be notably applied that the recently chartered club’s is history-making step to formalize the existence of the club took place on 31st August as the club is now admitted into the highly coveted membership of one of the world’s respected and service-oriented humanitarian organizations barely two months after its formation.
