The waves of criticisms trailing the recent porous outings of the Super Eagles have not abated a bit. And the atmosphere remained charged as more football stakeholders continue to lend their voices to the unimpressive performances of the team.
Speaking with journalists in Lagos, Ayodele Thomas, President of Football Intermediaries Association of Nigeria ( FIAN), emphatically called for the sack of Super Eagles gaffer, Gernot Rohr. Stating that the senior national team of Nigeria deserves better than what the Franco-German coach is offering the country’s football.
” He is clueless and Nigeria deserves better than him. Going by his performances, any club or nation would have sacked him. How do you justify some of his selections and tactics? He keeps playing Musa who has no club. Why?
” No serious coach will choose a non-club player over those playing regularly. No matter the player’s status, selection should be based on current form at all times,” the renowned football intermediary posited.
