FC Robo Queens’ attacker Folashade Ijamilusi has expressed sheer delight with her emergence as top scorer in this year’s Lagos State Women’s FA Cup.
The former ace of Springsoca United pulled off the feat on Sunday at Mobalaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, where she helped Robo Queens defeat Dannaz Ladies 4-1 in a thrilling final.

Speaking with Sports247, Ijamilusi acknowledged that it was not easy snatching the top scorer’s prize on the last day of the competition, but pointed out that it was the biggest motivation she and her colleagues needed to win their 14th FA Cup title.
She ended up scoring two of her team’s four goals in Sunday’s final at The Waterfront and, though Fatimoh Solati pulled one back for Dannaz Ladies, it was not enough to stop Coach Emmanuel Osahon’s side’s day of success.
Ijamilusi took another look at the match and admitted it was not an easy task for her side, then gave thanks to God for seeing them through.
The youthful women’s national team invitee enthused: “I feel so good. This is what we have wanted over the years.
We always want to be the best, and I’m so happy we won it again.
“I’m so happy to get the Cup again, as we did last year.
The motivation for us was that we wanted to have the FA Cup highest goal scorer in our team.
“Personally, I wanted to be the highest scorer, so I had to work hard.
“Before this match, the leading scorer had three goals, and I had two.
I had to score two goals to be ahead of her. I am happy that I scored two in the final and emerged the highest scorer with four goals in total.
“I’m the highest goals scorer for the 2024 FA Cup. I scored two goals in the final, and my team won the cup.
I’m happy, and I’m grateful to God.”
