“Nigeria is the best country in Africa when it comes to female football, but the problem is their arrangement. What I mean is, the position they play, some of them the selection and positioning.”
Osahon’s remarks shed light on the challenges faced by the Super Falcons despite their status as the continent’s top team.
He emphasizes the importance of proper player selection and positioning in maximizing the team’s potential on the field.
“Nigeria has always been the best, no country. And it’s not that I’m patriotic. I am telling you the way it is. Nigeria is the best.
I don’t want to know the facility that’s been given to any country in Africa to facilitate their female development.
In terms of Nigeria, we have the ability, and the raw techniques to be the best and we are the best. Unfortunately, we have been manhandled.”
While expressing his patriotic pride in Nigerian football, Osahon highlights the need for better management and support for the Super Falcons to fully harness their capabilities.
Despite facing challenges, he remains confident in the team’s inherent talent and potential to excel on the continental and global stage.
As Nigeria continues its quest for excellence in women’s football, Osahon’s insights serve as a reminder of the importance of effective leadership and strategic planning in maximizing the Super Falcons’ success and maintaining their status as Africa’s premier team.
