After back to back victories in defending champions Edo Queens and Robo Queens are topping their respective groups, Sport247 reports.
Edo Queens defeated Heartland Queens on Wednesday by 2-1 to secure maximum points away from home, as they now stay top in Group A.
The victory away from home is a sequel to the season opener in week one, where they defeated Abia Angels by 5-0.
The same scoreline played out in Lagos on Wednesday, when Robo Queens came from behind to rally home all three points against Adamawa Queens, winning by 2-1.
Robo Queens now has six points in two matches to group B after pummeling Benue Queens by 5-1 in the opening weekend.
Remo Stars Ladies FC also made it two victories out of two matches, but are only behind Edo Queens in group A due to lesser goal difference.
The Ikenne Ladies pipped Ekiti Queens by 1-0 on Wednesday at Ikenne after securing a sweet 3-1 against Confluence Queens victory away in the first leg.
While Dannaz FC, Ekiti Queens, Abia Queens and Nasarawa Amazons are trailing in that order with three points each after securing their first victory of the season on Matchday two.
The only two teams that are yet to win any game in the group A are Confluence Queens and Heartland Queens as both are languishing at the bottom with zero points after two matches.
In group B, Bayelsa Queens and Rivers were held in their second game on Wednesday to remain in second and their position respectively with four points while Delta Queens secured their first victory to keep tabs on the two teams with three points in the bag against Benue Queens.
While Robo, Rivers and Bayelsa are unbeaten in the group, there is no victory yet for Adamawa Queens, Ibom Angels and Benue Queens as they occupied the fifth, sixth , seven and eight positions respectively.
The next round of matches in the NWFL Premiership by next week Wednesday as teams continue their chase to qualify for the Super Six final play off where the top three teams in the groups will compete for the title at a later date at a yet to be named venue.
