RIVTEQ Chairman Halim Zaccah Pledges Support for Rivers Football Referees at Badging Ceremony

The Chairman of the Rivers State Teqball Association (RIVTEQ), Mr. Halim Zaccah Adebola, has pledged to support football referees in Rivers State with two sets of jerseys and two footballs.

He made this commitment on Wednesday, April 23rd, during a badging ceremony held at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Elekahia, Port Harcourt.

Mr. Zaccah, who attended the event as a special guest, commended the referees for their dedication and professionalism. His promise was well received by the football community in attendance.

In his remarks, Mr. Dima Dennis Charles, Chairman of the Rivers State Football Referees’ Council, expressed appreciation for the RIVTEQ Chairman’s gesture, noting it as a timely contribution to the development of officiating in the state. He also outlined the Council’s upcoming activities for the year.

During the ceremony, newly qualified Grade 1, 2, and 3 football referees received their official badges, while special recognition awards were presented to Apostle Dabo-Ere Dokubo and Dr. Justice Onuoha for their contributions to the sport.

Other dignitaries present included Mr. Tamuno Omiete Edwin, Secretary of the Rivers State Football Association, and Mr. Ralph Akunna, Vice Chairman of the Rivers State Football Coaches Association.
