Theo Mark Gibson, Rivers United Winger has expressed his excitement following his maiden call-up to the Liberian National team.
The 18-year-old Rivers United talisman who has been instrumental in the pride of Rivers’ solid performance last season and en route to the Confederations Cup group stages said the call-up is a testament to his diligence and dedication.
“I was so happy when I got the call that I will be in the Lone Stars of Liberia squad during the international break. It’s one of my numerous dreams coming true in a limited time.”
Gibson since joining Rivers United last year, has played a total of 14 games registering two assists.
One of his assists was Morice Chukwu’s opener against Bendel Insurance at the Super Eight championship last June.

The young winger will be hoping to grace the Lone Stars of Liberia jersey during the country’s friendly game against Libya on Saturday 14th October and Morocco in the rescheduled AFCON qualifiers three days later.
